Wow, check out the sample new song on their myspace MySpace.com - The Official ZERO HOUR page - PLEASANTON - Progressive / Metal - www.myspace.com/zerohourband
Absolutely shreds! Also the new coverart is up

Pretty dark, their darkest one yet I'd say... Anyway, can't wait to hear the whole thing, its gonna be awesome!

Heres a new video of Jasun shredding away for a string ad as well...

theres that riff again

We musicians are as close to God as man can be. We hear his voice, we read his lips, we give birth to the children of God

Damnit, that Chris Salinas was the reason I could never get into Power Of Omens, and he's ruined Zero Hour for me. I used to love Zero Hour, but the moment I heard them with Chris, errrgh can't take it anymore. I was hoping this would be different, but unfortunately not, the 2nd Zero Hour record I will never purchase

I don't mind it, and Jasun, Troy and Mike are all brilliant...

Yeah the rest of the band is astounding, but I have never liked Salinas's vocals, especially when he goes for them high notes, it sounds so shrill and I just cant get into it. I personally dont even think it fits the band, but never mind....

I just couldn't dig Power of Omens' song writing - there was never any groove to their stuff. It always seemed like an endless stream of complex riffs without much cohesion. With These Words was an awesome track, though.

I've only ever liked a handful of ZH songs, but I did like those tracks an awful lot, and their previous vocalist was one of the reasons I loved 'em. I'll have to hear the album as a whole, I guess.

This new song is cool, but a little short for my tastes, I do hope there's some epics on there as well...

Yeah I can agree on Power of Omens, a friend of mine (bassist in my first band) is an absolute nut for them, but he's a Christian metaller, and has it in his mind that they were a Christian band (which if I remember rightly, they didn't profess to being a Christian band per se, just they are all Christians, just don't sing about it), so because it was the only "Christian" prog band, he acted like they were better than any other Prog act out to justify him liking them.

The amount of times I just had to grin and bear it when he was on about them being far superior to Dream Theater and the like, it was painful.

The live videos of them are spectacular too, theres Chris there trying to grab an invisible rope going upwards in front of them, and the rest of the band staring at their fretboards as if their fret inlays were going to start a fireworks show or something.

I think you guys are all nuts, 'cause Chris fucking smokes.

There previous vocalist was absolutely amazing, but oh well, he's gone. I was kinda lukewarm about Chris at first, until I saw them live. That guy fucking delivers, and those super high notes he hits are dead on and backed by an amazing amount of power. He is every bit as talented as everyone else in that band, and I think the new stuff is going to fit him a lot better. Personally, I dig the shit out of the new track, it is agressive as hell.
