Ah I know he's good because he's not wanking all over the tracks, but I've 3 of his albums and he very rarely solos technically for longer than about 15 sec on any track. I'd just like to see him really rip on something. He probably has done it but I've not heard it.

The Buckethead Lesson vid on youtube is it.. that was one of the first vids I saw of his. Extremely impressive chops on that one, along with lots of hand puppet weirdness

Moonohol is a jewel in the rough
If you want to hear some all-out soloing by him, here are some songs that I'd recommend:

"Oh Jeez..." from Bucketheadland
"Lurker at the Threshold Part 3" from The Elephant Man's Alarm Clock
"Botnus" from Enter the Chicken
"Braingate" by Cobra Strike (basically Buckethead under another name) from 13th Scroll

I can't think of any more at the moment.. I also don't have all of his albums.. but these are definitely worth noting.

Action is eloquence.

Isn't this a sad truth? If this was his first album out, everyone would pan it as weak and tame, complaining that the man doesn't have the chops to record a solo album.

Oh, I know. I've heard half the album before, on your recommendation IIRC

It'd have largely been ignored in the guitar world, and we certaintly wouldn't have been talking about Buckethead here. However, part of me wonders if he'd have gotten as much if not more sucess amongst fans of a different genre, had he not had the "guitarist" tag placed on him.

Either way, it's a fantastic disc.

Colma got me into Buckethead, and i don't think i've tried looking back

I have a radical idea. The door swings both ways,
we could reverse the particle flow through the gate.
We'll cross the streams.
