Ohhh that is sketchy.. But it might be coincidence... Maybe Alexi listened to Gilbert so much, that it just kinda naturally happened.. Its possible, im sure Marty Friedman licks come out in my playing ALL the time, even some gilbert licks I use alot (big early influence)

But that is abit too much. But hopefully it wasnt intentional. Either way, Gilbert is amazing, i just started listening to him alot again like this past week, hes soo great its depressing almost. And doesnt take himself seriously, when in reality he has the chops to compete with the upper tier of technical guitarists like Allan Holdsworth / Tony Macalpine / Shawn Lane / etc..

If gilbert wrote something, then formed a secret society to hold the tape (well, maybe mp3 is more appropriate), with no one listening to it, except the monks, who dwell on it as a mantra, until the day comes that someone writes something that sounds really close, then the world would stop spinning and the sun and the moon would have children that would look like elephants turned inside out at the asshole.


Everything will be copied. Even shitty songs will eventually have a song that sounds really close (GREEN DAY!!!)
