Speaking of openminded... I kinda don't get Nile

But I listened and watched all the way through "Papyrus"... it was starting to make sense by the end... somewhat... the verses with the blastbeats kept me lost though.

Still! I'll take incomprehensible but brutal as fuck metal over poprocks any day!!

.....

You know, it just hit me... the plethora of emo-this-and-that bands remind me of the boyband craze awhile back... I wonder how many are as manufactured... or if offering 15 seconds of fame is enough to make dragnet fishing the musical waters profitable enough on it's own...

MY Music - writing about depression and... well, music

Courage is the most important of all the virtues, because without courage you can't practice any other virtue consistently. You can practice any virtue erratically, but nothing consistently without courage. ~ Maya Angelou

The drummer needs to get rid of the red patch of hair so he looks like everyone else in the band. Otherwise, he just looks stupid.

Eh, not bad. Reminds me of Japanese pop music from the 80's to 90's.

The singing kind of sucks, though.

Question authority. Don't ask why, just do it.

Obviously I'm not open minded enough. I hated it, to me it sounds like a bunch of guys playing whatever they feel like (different songs), a spoilt child having a tantrum with some belching thrown in for good measure.

am i the only one who liked it at least somewhat...?

no it's not bringing really anything new to the table - but i like screaming, and it sounded different enough then the other bands out there that i wouldnt call them a direct ripoff of another band. not sure i'd buy the CD, but i'd catch a show or something..

methinks its just me though..

3 cheers for free gear!

I Really Like Ibanez Seven String Guitars

Origanally posted by Variant - Pulled from the river Styx, the mighty black oar of doom in hand! I certainly would not call this particular guitar an "axe" more like a club. Whereas Noodles' KxK would run through an emo, spilling his insides for a quick death, this blunt mace would bludgeon the unfortunate effeminate soul, breaking bones, bruising muscle, and causing internal bleeding to lead only to a slow, painful death

Eh, it was no more diverse or eclectic than any other scene music.

I did dig it though.

However, I still think the "scene" is stupid as hell.
