all the others i know of have been mentioned

you should try get some Aushvitz, its syu's band (guitarist in galneryus) their pretty win
and StormRider are cool

I see you didnt check out either of the bands i mentioned. Boris is more stoner rock than anything (thing CLutch or something) and Defiled is straight up NYDM-esque death metal. Also, worth mentioning is 324 (grindcore) and Sabbat (black metal).

Try Dir En Grey and Nightmare they are both good. Dir En Grey did a cool song with X-Japan also.

They're Japanoise bands. I'd definitely check them out if you haven't already.

Dir en gray is coming to Canada aren't they? My friend is a huge J-rock fan and said she got tickets.. Im assuming in Toronto or Montreal or something..

I'm surprised no one mentioned Maximum the Hormone. Pretty cool band. The song in the video below, "What's Up People?" is used in the second opening for that anime, Death Note, apparently.

Anyhow, really addictive song to me for some reason. Oh, and cool note, the first scream is normal video. The second scream, in the intro I mean, has the video being reversed. Very cool technique. the english translation for the lyrics are something I've been looking for. But I think I remember it being about something like the decline of humanity or something.

not sure otherwise. cool vid. Oh, and the singer/guitarist, sings into his mic. and looks cross-eyed. good for a laugh among the music.
