exactly 26 years ago, a few hundred miles from me, we lost possibly the greatest guy to pick up a guitar.

i remember witin like a month of starting to get lessons, and hearing the crazy train solo, i had to get a tab book! and then i did, and noticed how hard it was, but i still tried, and succeded, untill i heard yngwie. and than it all changed.

one of the best ever, would have been the absolute best ever. the saddest part is that he was just starting to develop his classical and jazz chops.

Every single one of his guitar parts with Ozzy is a classic. Every shredder should listen to them--not just great technique, but great music.

His albums with Ozzy should come free with every guitar. He really was the first guy who ever really spoke to me with the guitar.

One of the first solos I ever learned was "Flying High Again", it was through Doug Marks and I was so proud when I could probably pull it off. Easily one of my eariiest influences.
