I personally love metalcore, but I feel guilty listening to it. Especially bands like Killswitch Engage and Bullet for my Valentine. All of their riffs sound very similar, but Its pretty catchy IMO.

I can't help imagining little 12 year old mini-mosher kids listening to it too and saying "ZOMFG! Those guys are so talented!" though.

I feel you 100%. most metalcore is melodic and catchy hence why i adore it so lol

I can only hope that all these 12 year olds who dig this stuff evolve to other metals once it dies out

I don't believe the trend is diminishing at all ... just re-routing itself to a more death metal sound. They call this wacky fantastical genre "DETHCORE". Its most'y made up of bands like suicide silence and bring me the horizon , which use death metal riffs and vocals ... yet have the manditory breakdown .... IN EVERY SONG. Its just a genre and type of music thats slowly evolving.

I just pray for all our sakes , that the next genre the scene kids take over isn't my precious Grindcore. Cuz if I see any bitches doing spin kids while i'm playing , then somebody's getting shanked.

I really like it, because it's something that in Argentina anybody plays it. So that's why I can stand it. I also like the breakdown idea, not on every songs, but it's awesome to mosh it.

I see that there in USA there are TONS of bands that does the same, but they are a lot of talented bands also.

I have been listening a lot to After the burial

MySpace.com - AFTER THE BURIAL (IN THE SU-SUSSUDIO) - Twin Cities, Minnesota - Metal / Hardcore / Progressive - www.myspace.com/aftertheburial

Their cd is pretty sick, "The forfeit" and "Fingers like daggers" are 2 songs that you must listen.

Drifts of Winter is a must.

The only thing Metalcore I really liked was Killswitch Engage, but I canīt stand them after the demise of Jesse. Howard Jones is a good vocalist but the stuff he sings is too mellow, I donīt know, I canīt explain, but I get tired after two songs.

He's a one trick cat meaning he just does a lto of the same stuff. I think Howard's voice is a little too dramatic at times and a little too exaggerated.

The more I think about it I guess I really do hate metalcore because I would love if Killswitch Engage did a complete CD with Howard just singing. I love their music and Howards voice but I just wish he would scream less.
