  | Abney Park Interview Alright, so i pulled the strigns and got an okay from Dread Cpt. Robert to get an interview with their guitarist. What kind of questions shall we ask? I want to have 12-15 questions and here are questions I plan to ask (i'll reword these to be better): -Tell us about your gear, amps, etc -Especially tell us about your custom RG7 -Tell us about the new album -Tell us about the writing process -How do you fit the violins in there? -What does the steampunk tag mean to you guys musically? -Why did you choose 7 strings? -What are some of your influences? -On the new album, a lot of parts were done by the original guitarist. Were they recorded before you joined or do you guys still share recordign duties? -Whats the touring schedule look like? | What does Steampunk mean to him musically? I mean, they got the image thing down, but what would distinguish a steampunk band from say, a gothic industrial band. |

 | I originally submitted this question for the guy from Through The Eyes Of The Dead, but that interview never seemed to materialise, so I figured I'd throw it to these guys to answer: Imagine some wealthy individuals put up the fees for a once-off Nathaniel Johnstone solo gig in Somalia. You step off the plane, ready to experience a new culture and play to an excited audience, when you're suddenly jumped from behind, knocked out, have your kidneys stolen and your limbs hacked off and are left on the African savannah to feed the hyenas. After a few weeks your bandmates assume the worst and heavy-heartedly decide to continue as a band. Who should they pick as your replacement? |
