Yngwie and Schecter

http://yngwie.org/equipment/discussequip.html

Interesting.

Quote:
Schecter just finished making a couple of special Yngwie Malmsteen models. One of them has a beautiful burgundy-mist metallic finish with a scalloped 22-fret maple neck, a left-handed headstock and three DiMarzio HS-3 pickups.

I dont think much ever happened with the yngwie schecter models (or his Fenders for that matter) By bro in cali has one of the fenders its pretty nice. Yngwies first endorsement deal was with Aria Guitars (when he was in Alcatraz) But not much ever happened with those either (they ads they ran featured both him and Grahm Bonnet with Aria guitars...)

I actually first got into Yngwie when he was in Steeler lol I have that and Alcatraz both on vinyl but no turntable anymore

I remember seeing one or two photos of him with a Schecter strat, but this was long before his Fender signature model.

i didnt like yngwies fender, it sounded good but the scalloped fretboard sucked and the strings on it were probably older than me

Glory and praise to Thee, Satan, on high,
Where Thou didst reign, in Hell where Thou dost lie,
Vanquished, silent, dreaming eternally.
Grant that my soul some day rest close to Thee
Under the Tree of Knowledge which shall spread
Its branches like a Temple overhead.

HB, they hurt for the first week and it feels like you're slicing your fingers in half at the tip. Once you get used to them, they're pretty cool if that's your kind of thing.

i guess it is all a matter of taste. i know people who like them and some who dont. the thing i dont like is i press hard on the strings and they sharp slightly. so im stuck with normal fretboard

I'm pretty adaptable...im thinking about trying it on one of my RG's.
Besides, i dont hit everything really hard, i play pretty light. So it shouldnt hurt too bad.
