Favourite Non-Rock/Metal Guitar Music?

Jazz and fusion by far. In fact, I listen to and play more things in the jazz idiom than anything else these days. It's helped me a lot with improv, but I can't play nearly as fast as I used to. Which is okay, because my style doesn't seem to be balls-to-the-wall shred, although I've been trying to learn Coltrane solos to speed myself up a bit.

Radiohead is fantastic. Thom Yorke writes some interesting stuff for being primarily a songwriter, and Johnny Greenwood is just one of those guys who takes a totally different approach than anyone else out there.

I'm starting to listen to Shawn Lane, Greg Howe, and Guthrie Govan a lot. Now that's some badass music right there

+1, and good to see Andy McKee getting some recognition, amazing player!

I also like the 70's prog, mostly Kansas, Yes etc.
