"Bleak" chorus by Opeth. Not so much the riff as the whole blend of instruments.

Hmm... the first riff of Bulbs RACECAR pt 2.... the third riff in the same song... and then the SUPER HEAVY MONGO breakdown after the lo-fi part somewhere in the middle of the song...

What part is the chorus? I love the clean break, however.

What a Djentleman!

"Devious movements...." the part where Steve Wilson sings. Kinda chorussy feeling.

Shaman is a glorious beacon of lightShaman is a glorious beacon of lightShaman is a glorious beacon of light
Here I go:

-Machine Head: Ten ton hammer. You can't really get any more simple than this riff but goddamn it works! (you need dynamics to make a riff like that work though)
-Morbid Angel. God of emptiness. So wicked and dark sounding, yet it has a major groove going on
-Pantera: Where the hell do you star with these guys... Cowboys from hell, I'm broken... ugh too much to mention
-Slayer: Raining blood, Angel of death (the riff at the middle, before the solo kicks in)
-Meshuggah: Corridor of Chameleons(the riff that alternates between the high dissonant chord and the low chug) New Millenium Cyanide Christ
-Carcass: Buried Dreams (the first riff, holy crap) No Love Lost, Corporeal Jigsore Quandry(one of the greatest riffs EVER)
-Nevermore: Inside four walls, Enemies of Reality
-Isengard: Neslepaks ( )
-Emperor: Inno a satana, Empty
-Gojira: From Mars to Sirius
-Sepultura: Amen, Refuse/Resist, Dead Embryonic Cells (the riff after the solo)

Goddamn, I could go on forever, so I'll leave it to those.

march will become famous soon enough
Off the top of my head ...

Anything by Tony Iommi/Black Sabbath ...

Zakk's "No More Tears", it just creeps up slowly then slams you to the wall.

Black Label Society - Funeral Bell

Black Label Society: The Beginning...At Last

An absolute killer:
Amon Amarth - "The Pursuit of Vikings"

There's too many of them !
