A little repetitive, and the rest of the song isn't really cool... BUT.... the opening riff from "Twisted" by Stuck Mojo is awesome (Which was mentioned in the Stuck Mojo/Rich Ward topic):

Also, every riff in "New Millenium Cyanide Christ", in all their 2-3 note glory.

There's a lot more, but those jump out right now.

meshuggah - concatenation.

the riff feels like getting two heavy punches in the stomach, then two fast punches in the face, over and over and over again.

Two riffs that send shivers down my spine whenever I hear them are Psalm 69 by Ministry (my favorite song).

And the second one is in Battery by Metallica, the last riff before the 2 second outro. When the double bass with snare on the down beat stops, and then the bass drum hits 1 2 3 4 with the snare on the upbeats... That part always makes me go nuts. Screw the rest of the song, this part makes it for me!

Actually, you can headband in a 7/8 groove pattern which would be 1 2 1 2 123.

But the 123 always makes my neck hurt. If you think headbanging to 7/8 is bad, try being in the marching band and having to MARCH in 7/8 for an entire song, the pause SUCKS, especially when you're trying to cover a long distance. It's like RUNNING RUNNING paaaaause RUNNING RUNNING *falls forward*... Luckily I've NEVER tripped in band...

In any language that you learn to speak -- love is twisted and defined as weak

TheMissing's GAScon status: GAScon 3... New geetar... But now I need to find a new pickup...
