My album is released!!!
Woohoo!!!

The first album by my "project", Council of One, is now available through CD Baby. In all the years I've been playing, I wasn't sure I'd ever get to the point of having something be commercially available. This album, One Week in December, is an hour's worth of mostly improvised fusion guitar--heavily inspired by Miles Davis' early '70s electric freakouts, but with many other influences from Pink Floyd to Frank Zappa. Probably not for the faint of heart.

Check out my MySpace page to hear the tracks and get the CD Baby link. The MySpace player has four of the seven tracks in all the gloriously crappy sound quality that MySpace provides, but I've embedded another music player further down the page that allows you to stream all seven tracks in their entirety, if you wish.

It'll be on iTunes soon, also, but that process is a little more time-consuming.

Anyway, I hate doing the hard sell. Just check it out for yourself and let me know what you think.

Yeah, the guitar is all Axe FX. I plugged the bass straight into the board. I still want to explore using the Axe FX with bass, but I didn't have a lot of time to explore programming it when I did the album. I didn't even go crazy with new patches for the guitars. The clean ones are almost all just somewhat modified versions of stock patches. I was very happy with the results.
