Why is Ra not more famous?

I've been on a Ra kick lately, and their music is just awesome; great hooks, very melodic, and yet nice punchy due to the 7th string

In fact what amazes me is that I find myself only listening to the studio versions where a live version doesn't exist on Raw. They are one of the very bands I'd rather hear their live version than their studio version, because they sound that good live.

BTW, Sahaj Ticotin has got to be one of the best singers I've heard in a long, long time.

st2012 is a jewel in the rough
I like them a lot as well although I mainly only listen to "from One". They got a little airplay in Houston a while back with that "Angels" track but I agree, they shoud be more popular.

I couldn't agree more. I've been asking myself this question for a long time now. Between Sahaj's vocals and the great song writing they should be much more popular.

The first album, which I love was very raw and kind of feel that was the direction they should have maintained when going into their second album.... which I also love.

I'm looking forward to the new album. I still don't know about a release date..

I don't get it for a second. That band is amazing, yet the get hardly any airplay. Sahaj's voice is simply amazing and everything about the instrumentations are awesome. IMO, they have a great formula for success. LOVE that band.

ive been in love with Ra ever since i heard Fallen Rock Zone, lol. And i was so pissed that 90% of the tabs were garbage, so i took a couple hours to sit down and tab them out, and damn the guy really knows his stuff, lol!

Looking for an Ibanez RG970XL

I was wondering the same thing. Sahaj's vocals are great, their hooks are catchy, and the songs are great. There's no reason they shouldn't be more famous.

Ben Carrol is doing a solo album. Didn't know if you dudes knew about it or not. MySpace.com - Ben Carroll - SOUTHBRIDGE, Massachusetts - Rock - www.myspace.com/bencarrollguitar

Sounds like it's gonna be pretty awesome.

Chris linked three tracks from it here ages ago, it's cool stuff.

Ben was Chris's old roommate back when they were tracking "From One," and a few CQ-inspired riffs even made the album. Check the thank you's in the liner notes.
