Favorite solos?

Not limiting yourselves to any genre, what are some of your favorite guitar solos?
To get the ball started, I'll list a few of mine:

Genesis' "Firth Of Fifth" and "The Fountain Of Salmacis" - Steve Hackett has a great feel for melodic solo work, although he may not be an obvious guitar hero. "Firth Of Fifth" was the first song I learned to play note for note, and "Fountain" has the right amount of drama to compete with The King Of The Weirdos, Peter Gabriel.

Prince's "Purple Rain" - it's great when you can hear emotion in a solo, and this one makes me all teary-eyed

Queensryche's entire "Rage For Order" album got me started on Metal, and I've never grown tired of DeGarmo and Wilton's solo work that seems so integral to the song.

Tears For Fears "Shout" - I'm an 80s kid... 'nuff said.

Now - your turn!

"Listen closely to me now, my darlin' girl...
There's one who's out to have you, and just his breath will burn your curls..."
- "Brimstone Rock", 16 Horsepower

first harmony solo in Tyrant from Priest, Beyond the Realms of Death - Glen's solo, too. Its like david gilmour was in priest for a song.

Glory and praise to Thee, Satan, on high,
Where Thou didst reign, in Hell where Thou dost lie,
Vanquished, silent, dreaming eternally.
Grant that my soul some day rest close to Thee
Under the Tree of Knowledge which shall spread
Its branches like a Temple overhead.

David Gilmour's solo in "Mother" when that solo starts it's like a cry for help.

Vernon Reid's solo in "Cult of Personality".

Both Eddie Van Halen's tapping intro and the solo in "Mean Streets"

The only proof he needed for the existance of God was music.
Kurt Vonnegut Jr.

Michael Amott's solo at the end of "Nemesis" made me a fan of his forever. Other favorites include Adrian Smith's solo in "Number of the Beast," the solo from Nevermore's "My Acid Words," and that brief burst of Andy LaRocque in At The Gates' "Cold".
