Bach Help Needed

Hey,

I have to perform a piece pretty soon from the baroque era of music for my music lesson, I was wondering if any one had any or know where there are pretty easy guitar TAB's from Bach (Or anyone from the baroque period), they could be about a minute or two long, and also pretty easy to playas I could do with them being commited to memory pretty quickly.

Try that Bourree thing that tenacious D used.

The whole piece is relatively easy. My friend is doing it for his Higher Exam, and No offense to him or anything, but he kind of [really] sucks at guitar

I would suggest Bach's BWV 999 Prelude in D minor. Not too long, although it might be a bit to memorize quickly. But if you can pull it off, it's a really great piece, at not too high of difficulty. Sounds beautiful done fingerstyle on nylon, but I enjoy picking it on electric, too.

Also give a listen to BWV 1007, as that's an incredible piece of music, as well, and one of my all time favorites.

* Sentient believes that the lute suites by Bach rule.

Axel will become famous soon enough
The BWV 999 is a great piece if you can learn it. It would help if you told us what your level of playing is like. I'd prolly go with the Bourree from the E minor suite as suggested since it's fairly easy.

Thanks guys I'll take a look at these.

I've been playing four years, so intermediate I'd say, not to good with fingerpicking though.

If it doesn't have to be Bach, how about De Visee's Bouree in D Min?

Glory and praise to Thee, Satan, on high,
Where Thou didst reign, in Hell where Thou dost lie,
Vanquished, silent, dreaming eternally.
Grant that my soul some day rest close to Thee
Under the Tree of Knowledge which shall spread
Its branches like a Temple overhead.

100% true
I learnt it from the score, and it's really awesome. I play it with the pick without playing some bass notes.
