A celebration of Baby Got Back

The subject says it all. I recently spoke to someone who had never heard it before, and I became determined to never let such a thing happen again.

I don't care how metal you are, everyone needs a little of this song now and then.

And just for some variety, a cover version:

Ah, yes, a classic ditty about ample amplitude in the bottom end of the motor... an anthem to those of us who are not really boob guys, myself included. One should not forget the true innovators here, Queen (er, Brain May anyway) with their classic 'Fat Bottom Girls'.

Also... FYI: best Mix-A-Lot song is 'Mind Suck' with Queensryche's drummer, Scott Rockenfield's project with Paul Speer.

Yeah, I'm not sure that Freddy Mercury cared too much about the Fat Bottoms of just about any Girls.

Double up.

Classic song. Gotta respect. That acoustic cover was neat! Kinda Dynamite Hack-ish.

The Throwdown cover is pretty nice for the metalhead.

I will never forgive gangsta rap for destroying the most wonderful of 80s art forms: the joke rap song. This one pretty much tops a list containing "Bust a Move", "Parents Just Don't Understand", and "The Humpty Dance".

I'm sorry to say that it wasn't a swift death - this particular masterpiece was from 1992, well into the time of bitches, gats and Gs, but it has lived on in our hearts and loins ever since.

So let us all remember Sir Mix-A-Lot in his knightly glory, majestic gaze locked firmly on the world's midsection, and take solace in knowing that his anaconda don't - want - none, unless you - got - buns, hun.

PS. If that was you who added to this thread's tags, I offer my thanks (read: I can't even remember what I wrote anymore ).
