Great band, INCREDIBLE album, meh video.

Poison The Well <3

One of the biggest influences behind A Day Late In December.

The textures, layers and beautiful melodies, chords and emotions this band have are awe inspiring.

Before "Versions" they struck me as a quite generic band, but i didn't mind giving "TOoD" or "YCBY" a spin every now and again...I didn't like 'Versions", but aleast they tried something different.

I remember the daaaaaaaaaaaayy, the sun went, ooouuuuuuuuuuut.

This doesn't really sound like the same band I remember, but I only have the one album so who knows. Line up changes?

What album do you have?

I really didn't enjoy Versions, tbh. Too different...a liked the sound they had going. I never thought of them as generic, but hey.

Can't wait to see them in Glasgow. \m/

Yeah, i mean I do like their previous releases, but there were alot of bands coming up in that scene and style at the same time that things didn't really stand out to me (amongst stuff like From Autumn to Ashes etc. against Opposite of December etc.), "generic" was probably a bit too harsh, as when they started doing their thing it was quite fresh at that time.

Versions was probably too much of a departure, rather than a step in the right direction maybe.

I've been listening to Poison The Well for about 5 years, but I haven't heard their last 2 albums. That video you posted doesn't even really sound like the Poison The Well I know which is just straight up hardcore punk (post-hardcore punk?) with a bit of a metal influence in there.

I really liked some of their earlier stuff. I'm not really into this. It's not nearly as heavy as it used to be. Near heard of A Day Late In December before. Are they another hardcore punk band?

That song wasn't half bad, but they have this one cover of the Smashing Pumpkins that I just can't get past, it was truly awful.

Nerdy = Win.

Been working on a cover of it too, its actually horrifically boring to play, but such a good song!

Poison the well are soo so so under rated.
