New issue of Guitar Techniques is especially good...

THe 'instrumental issue'...

Martin Goulding's got a Lamb of God style-file in there with some really good backing tracks. The metal sections of the magazine have gotten so much better since he took over; almost all his articles have been excellent.
There's also an Albeinez transcription for classical guitar by Bridget Mermikides (with an absolutely stunning performance of it on the CD), a lesson of Holdsworth-style chord-clusters by Shaun Baxter, and transcriptions of Rush and Steve Stevens tunes.

A lot of the recent issues have had some decent ideas. However, last year was a particularly bad year for them, a lot of it was boring blues issues that repeated themselves. But yeah, this issue's great.

Yeah, they did have a patch where the issues became very patchy.

Yeah, that was excellent. The amount of info he crammed in was just insane.

Demeyes will become famous soon enough
I don't like the way they do less songs now. They used to have a great mix of songs transcribed but now its only 1 or 2 songs and a bunch of sounds like sections.
As magazines go its pretty much the best as regard to playing. I still have a look through the old issues I have from a few years back. Yhey really tackle things with a lot of description and explanation

Isn't it? Yeah, it's a wonderfull mag. Me and my students had a lot of fun with the Top Gun theme too.

Trust your ears.

In life and music, what is is but that doesn't always mean it's what it should. Change, is in our hands.
