![]() | I'll admit, I was extremely disappointed my first listen, and I'm a die-hard Meshuggah fan. I thought it was alright in some parts and cheesy in others, but I've listened to it several times now and I absolutely love it. Especially the song "Lethargica". The intensity they build in that song when it quiets down is just insane. |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | I like some of the album. I'd say half of it is great, the other is weak and boring as hell. The thing thats pissing me off though is the production. They seriously need a bass player big time. There were so many instances where this brutal riff could be going on but there was no low end to it. Just all 'djent' and no thunder. Whoever mixed this album should be fired. ![]() |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | I'm talking about with really heavy riffs on the low B/F# that end up sounding thin because there's no bass under it. I can't stand it. For example, the 'breakdown' in the song "Electric Red", fucking kickass riff, but sounds so thin and hollow because there's no bass under it. Some songs sound better than others, but it's a consistent problem. I don't like this mix at all. Honestly, Bulb's production > this. |
