has anyone else noticed how much this album rules? KD's vocals aren't quite as annoying as the earlier stuff, the riffs rule, etc. i was listening to it in the car last night and singing along with songs i'd forgotten i knew the words to

Mercyful Fate doesnt release anything less than greatness as far as i'm concerned

In this case, I have to disagree with you. I like "In The Shadows", but I only like parts of "9" and the title track of "Dead Again" after that. The material just doesn't live up to the early albums, though,

They arent as good as the older material, (what is?) but its still solid, and about 15-20x better than Force Of Evil..

God DAMN force of evil was a let down.

ill agree that mercyful fate doesnt release anything less than greatess, saw them play a 3 hour set back in 98 and i thing kd is better in MF

In The Shadows is amazing. Egypt? The Bell Witch? Forget about it. But the last song kind of sucks... Return of the Vampire. It's ok, but not great.
