Clapton, Garcia, Hendrix guitars went for over $700,000 each. You're not supposed to play it, silly... you build it a little shrine and worship it.

People have paid premium dollars for clumps of grass the Beatles walked over, bits of bedsheets guaranteed to be personally stained by Mick Jagger... some people have too much money.

It could also be an ESP custom shop guitar with LTD labeling so the kiddies will see the show, then run right out and buy an off the shelf LTD.

Sorta like Ibanez's MO; it's not like an LACS is actually an Ibanez. It's a handmade custom instrument with Ibanez hardware and decals for marketing.

Perhaps ESP/LTD sinks to such levels as well.

Actually, I heard that that LTD is actually an ESP that they built for him to represent the LTD brand on stage.

Still wouldn't buy it, though.

yea i didnt mean to post the thread as "a good snatch", i just read the news and decided to throw it out here. im not personally into memoralia stuff but maybe others here were

. anyway, why is Drover selling stuff like this? is he doin it "for the fans" or could he just be in need of cash that bad?

I saw Glen play that graphic guitar (or one just like it) on their tour last summer opening for Heaven & Hell. I remember thinking at the time, "why couldn't Dave score him something better than an LTD?".

The fact that it's an ESP custom with an LTD logo doesn't surprise me, but it's a pretty shady practice.
