them bones was the first track that made me go "hmm, maybe I'll try drop D" *7slinger tunes to drop D (which took about 45 minutes with shitty floyd copy)*..."HOLY FUCK!!! THIS IS HEAVY AS FUCK!"

Jerry rocks my socks

Cheers ohio_eric. I appreciate what you are talking about, but still don't see the gain in "killing metal" when there were so many metal acts signed to majors during that time.

Did the majors just think metal = Warrant, Poison etc and therefore kept the word hush hush, while at the same time signing Godflesh, Carcass and Fudge Tunnel... (I know they were dropped later but that didn't happen until grunge was well and truly over) I mean I know they tried to market Fudge Tunnel as a "grunge" band but Heartwork would have been a tall order

I will say, that from all outword appearence, he appears to be....a man (o_0)

I dont hate him, I just dont love him. But I will say I liked him enough to never really consider AIC a grunge band (if they had just came out last week then they would be considered hardrock/metal, grunge was only deemed since they were from seatle and the timeframe they were caught up in)

well in my opion he is one of the many guitarist that have inspired me over and over again, he provides a dark work of crunchy tones and great acustics, like in there unpluged or work before that, check out jars of flies. this is some killer work.

I'll +1 that, Jerry is the man. I don't dig out a lot of albums from the early 90s, but there's always an Alice In Chains album on the old iPod...
