Nik will become famous soon enough
And speaking of Rusty Cooley...

...I just got his debut album and it kicks absolute ass.

The only thing I'm not too crazy about is the drum programing, but it gives me a realistic idea of the recording quality my band can strive for :p

I'm 99% sure those drums are live.

I don't care for his tone or the mix, particularly, but there's some KILLER guitar on that disc.

I wasnt a fan of the drums either. Or some of the parts where everything stops and he's just playing really fast for a few measures before everything kicks back in. Other than that, its awesome.

Glory and praise to Thee, Satan, on high,
Where Thou didst reign, in Hell where Thou dost lie,
Vanquished, silent, dreaming eternally.
Grant that my soul some day rest close to Thee
Under the Tree of Knowledge which shall spread
Its branches like a Temple overhead.

Drew once said he was going to TAB out Rusty's record.

I'm still waiting for that.

I said once I was going to TRY to tab the solo to "Under the Influence," Kevan, and I think we both know I met my match...

Ahem. I mean, the notes weren't the problem. The problem was there were so many of them, I simply got sick of carrying the manuscript around when we hit the 75 pound mark, and burned it. Seriously. No joke.

haha.

They have the GP for The Duel at mysongbook.com. It's a good play, and I still can't get it down. It's not the speed that kills, it's the speed with the variations and distance between notes that does.
