Anyone heard Riverside?

They're a prog-something band from Poland. They seem to have been influenced by a lot of bands like Opeth, Porcupine Tree, Anathema and other great bands. The singer sounds almost exactly like Mikael Åkerfeldt at times, especially in the song "In Two Minds".They have released two discs, "Out of Myself" and "Second Life Syndrome", and they're both really good.

The music itself is quite sad, and at times very beautiful. Most of the time it's quite mellow and athmospheric but they've got some heavier stuff too.

Here are some reviews for "Second Life Syndrome":

I like the new disc quite a bit. The previous one was good, but didn't connect with me the way the new one does...

Never heard them until now. I listened to Loose Heart and I Turned You Down. Great stuff!

I have their 2nd CD, and it's not quite Porcupine Tree -- good, but it's very cool for sure.
