![]() | lol are you stalking my posts jason. they did it better than a lot of the crappy metal bands that try to play the pantera card but it seems kinda tacky now to do pantera covers. it just seems...odd that an eyeliner dipped pop band should cover a hallmark metal song. think about how really big pantera fans would feel about having "their" music come from a group like that. theres nothing necessarily wrong with covering something if you're really into it and doing it for a purpose but it seems like a gimmick when they do it. like i said, too many people playing the pantera card. |

![]() | yeah i know they were glam metal, i actually pionted that out to someone on here a few days ago lol. the pantera card meaning maybe 90% of the shows i've gone to in the last two months theres been some shiddy little band going "THIS IS FOR DIMEBAG!!!". its just tacky at this point. its just a way for no talent acts to try and get some kind of attention. like why wouldn't you do a slayer cover or a metallica cover or any other big name metal band. no, they have to use him as a martyr. i was gonna say "how would you feel if they did a meshuggah cover" but in all honesty i'd actually like to see that lol. am i making sense with this? |
