The guys in the VB one are all chill and cool, let you try whatever. I've only been to the GC in charlotte once but nobody struck me as being a douchebag. I went to one in california and was in there for like 5 minutes so I didn't get to "chill" just walk around. The ones that are in like a strip-mall and stuff suck in comparison to ones that are by themselves. |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | It really varies site by site. I've had experiences like yours there, Shawn, and then on the other side of the coin the day I was in there when I bought my Rectoverb (when I was still just screwing around on it for kicks with no intention of buying and had said as much), the guy I was talking to actually went and took down the ($2100) JEM7VWH on the wall because, get this, he didn't like how it played. Not because "OMG, this guitar rulez!!" but because he thought it was way overpriced for what it was and wasn't that impressed with how it played, and he offered to let me give it a try just for the hell of it. He was right, too, it just felt sluggish. ![]() "...and everything under the sun is in tune, but the sun is eclipsed by the moon." |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | In all honesty, Unless I need a repair, I'll almost always go to GC to make big purchases. Only because I worked there, and still actually know a few people who work there. The only other shop in my area is employed by the biggest douche bags i've ever met. The one guy won't talk to you unless you want to buy a strat to rip some Iron Maiden, the other guy would rather laugh at you behind your back (Me and him almost got into a fist fight), and the other guy'd rather sit on his little stool behind the counter then help you. And none of them have any knowlege of any of the gear in the store. It sucks not having a nice little shop with friendly knowlegeable folks. Until then, I'm going to go deal with someone I at least know, and is aware that I know how much the stuff actually costs. ![]() Ignorance is not bliss. Ignorance only hides the truth. And the longer that truth has to hide, the more it stings when it makes itself known. http://www.sevenstring.org/forum/gen...ml#post1166807 Buy my sunglasses! |

Steve and Amir... You guys ever make it down to The Guitar Gallery? They don't have the largest selection but it is a great store and they beat anybodys prices in the Pittsburgh area. this space for rent |
