Like technomancer said cover bands never really go anywhere. A few can eek out a living doing it but most never really break out.

I hope they go through like 50 guitarists. If you ask nice I'm more than willing to make sure they fail repeatedly.

the jam went well. the guys are pretty proficient, and had a blast. and, although they were all like, "this mode does this, so we should go here with this progression..." i managed to make a few good coherent suggestions

I too wish upon them the pox of many guitarists, for that is what they want and shouldn't we all support what people want?
