anyone else a fan? i'm 95% metalhead, but he is one of the jazzers that i totally dig. i'v been rockin out to hand jive all morning.

Good stuff, but I've been getting my jazz/fusion fix from Miles lately. His Guitar World columns were really cool, too - unlike most of the metal columns, his columns gave me a lot to think about even away from the instrument.

Sco's awesome. I especially like his duet album with Pat Metheny.

I've seen Sco live more than anyone but Porcupine Tree. Motherfucker can play.

Sco's great. The ray charles cover album is also nice, although it's not his stuff.

I have a few Sco releases, some I like, some I don't - I dig the Uberjam album and the album he did with Bill Frisell, but so much of his playing reminds me of Cannonball Adderly, which in turns reminds me of how much I hated Cannonball for taking a solo on Kind Of Blue just because he wasn't Coltrane

so it's kinda hard to be objective sometimes.
