Do you guys..
Do you guys ever just have vast realizations of how much you enjoy music? Tonight my drummer and I worked on Under a Glass Moon since the other members weren't around and we have about 75% of it down well. We sort of noodled around and jammed after that and I have to say it distinctly hit me how much I love music and of course love playing guitar. Sometimes it's just comforting to have moments of deep clarity for how much you enjoy the things you do.
So yeah, just thought I'd share an experience with you guys. |

Put a song I made up today into Guitar Pro... Ended up as 6/4 at 240 bpm with exclusively quarter notes. Cut that to 3/4 at 120 bpm with exclusively eighth notes.

Actually, I've had a long period like that recently. I've been especially enjoying everything about practicing the guitar, just because it's felt like I'm really learning and improving at a decent rate for once. Yesterday wasn't so great though, probably due to feeling tired all through the day, and not too excited about the prospect of work the next day, so it was just maintaining chops rather than doing anything really creative, which is uber-lame.
Nothing like a good depressant to chase the blues away!

i went through a period where i was only playing guitar in my band because i felt i had to. i had so much going on in my mind that i wasn't able to feel that way.
now, i've got a job, and a place to live, and i'm feeling it all over again
I have a radical idea. The door swings both ways,
we could reverse the particle flow through the gate. We'll cross the streams. |
