Old obscure bands that never went anywhere

I like it. 1989 was far too late in time for a band like this to have gone anywhere then. The era of that kind of music was long over.

Some of the rhythm work I almost feel like "borrowing" :P

Last Crack , an band from my native Wisconsin . I thought this was a pretty interesting band with solid tunes. Heres a performance from a reunion tour. They dont look like they can rock from their appearance these days. But they can still throw down.

I had Burning Time back in the day... from what I recall it was a really good album and I was pissed when nothing else ever came out from these guys

Damn The Machine

All the guitar magazines gave this CD great reviews, many of which called this Chris Poland's "comeback". They were opening for Dream Theater on the Awake tour, where their setlist included a cover of KC's "Cat Food".

Great project. But their label had to make way for the incoming wave of grunge /alternative bands at the time.

Agreed, if we could only go back in time and replace the rock template set by Nirvana's 'Nevermind' with the Damn The Machine debut.

I'll add in 'Altered State' in here, their second album 'Dos' was a stellar mix of rock, prog, funk, and alternative that should have made more waves than they did.

Cher's son's band, Deadsy. I actually liked these guys, though.
