Yeah I know, it's just this is how silly rumors get started! I say just let Chris in and be done with it.

Neither have I

...And as it turns out he never existed apparently in the first place, and his name was deleted from the WIKI entry.

But I did do some googling, and there IS a metal guitarist named Arif Sami, but I can't remember what band he was in.

...Stupid wiki.

As much as Id love to see Chris in NM, perhaps it would be better for NM themselves to stick with just Loomis and a second live guy. I mean everything Jeff writes sends shivers down my spine as it is, and as an evolving band they've done nothing but incredible music. I feel that Jag Panzer is a far cry from what Nevermore write and unless his creative direction would be otherwise Broderick could probably be a better live guitarist.

I don't think Nevermore should remain a four piece. TGE had their best writing since Politics, and I believe that had a lot to do with Smyth being a part of the mix. I also don't think it is fair to judge Chris based on Jag Panzer, since that is simply one facet of his style. He has jazz and classical influences that range far outside of the realm of what he does in that band, and it would be interesting to see what he and Jeff would come up with after bouncing ideas off of one another.

The guitarist I would really be interested to see in Nevermore played my favorite solo on TGE.

Has anyone seen Chris's new Ibanez Custom? Holy Be-Jesus, I'd convert to Ibanez if this was available to the public. http://http://viewmorepics.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=user.viewPicture&friendID=103 49122

Smyth was the perfect mix for them. His writing style fit with Jeffs.

But having Broderick there would be good nonetheless because then Jeff would be able to get feedback.
