Some new CDs...

Okay, So I got some new CDs. I thought I'd tell you about them.

I have mixed feelings on Malmsteen, I loved the first Rising Force album, but I wasn't that impressed with Unleash the Fury albeit a few songs. This album, however, is great from beginning to end. It wont hold the same place as Rising Force for me, but I still love it. What I DO like about Yngwie is that you know exactly what you're getting when you buy one of his CDs.

Okay, so I've been a big progressive fan all my life. I found out about Dream Theater by being a Yes/ELP/Wakeman/Tull/etc. fan, not the other way around, I guess you could say I like the genre . Anyway, after hearing this album, I kicked myself for not buying it 5 years ago. It's a perfect album in my opinion.

This is my first Saxon album. I bought this album expecting to hear a lot of those cool metal riffs that you only hear in 80's metal, and man, it delivered. Not the "greatest album of all time" but I got exactly what I wanted. The singer is okay.

I've seen him front row center live, I have Astoria, and 3 G3s, I love this guys music, but I've never bought any of his albums. Now I have one, it's great. That's all I can say. It's great.

I've always been a fan of Gary Moore, and I gotta say this is one solid live album. Anyone that's a fan of his, buy this now.

Anyone that's a Scorpions fan needs to buy this album. All the songs are post Uli, but all the songs are good. Seriously, there isn't a bad song on here. Even the ones I didn't care for that much become 100x better in this live album. With Scorpions, buy Tokyo Tapes, World Wide Live and you've got my two very favorite live albums of any band.

I need to do this again.

Anyway, I think that's all I bought. Feel free to share your opinions.
