1st, I just bought metalguitarist.com. I can't believe this was still available. Where the hell have you guys been?

2nd, I saw Dream Theater last night. I haven't seen them since the Metropolis 2 tour, and it was exciting to see them play again. I was a little dissapointed that they were only given an hour to play, and equally disappointed that the heaviest song they played was Learning to Live, but even Dream Theater 'light' is better than every other band on the planet. The musicians were just ON and it was fun to see them play. LaBrie seems to be having more fun on stage now than ever before. He's hitting high notes and sustaining them old-school style, as if to say "F the rest of the music world, this is who I am, deal with it." I like that attitude

I was especially thrilled to see them play Trial of Tears and Solitary Shell. Those are very underrated songs, both are excellent. No 7-string songs, but Petrucci did pull out a double neck with a 12-string with a piezo at the top and 6-string at the bottom for Solitary Shell. Sweet looking guitar.

I didn't stick around to see Yes, I could seriously give a crap about Yes

Nice dude. I WOULD have seen them twice on this tour, but due to some mistakes I'd rather not speak of by my friend I didn't get to see them once. Caught the TOT world tour though

i went to that concert here in clevland. DT played a light set. they didn't round it off to well. I was kinda disappointed.

i missed Dream Theater this time around

i saw them twice in 2000, and once in 2003. hopefully i can check them out again on their next tour.

oh, and that any Dream Theater show would beat the tar out of any other band's show!

Yep! I saw them Aug 20 with Yes and they kicked ass, as usual. I missed the Queensryche/Fates Warning tour last year, but have seen them live each time starting at 6DOIT. Its an amazing experience, thats about all I can say!
