yeah, that "inside the string picking" thing... once you nail that your playing improves 100000%

Petrucci is my god of alternate picking.

Its a good DVD, although I personally learned more from his 'wild stringdom' book. Every time you read it you can learn something new, and he goes into a lot more depth into his techniques and voicings, and how to implement them into music.

Although its worth buying rock discipline just for the TOONNNEEE!!!

Hey maybe I should throw away all my old wild stringdom articles I tore out and put in a folder when I was a teenager

I recommend Guthrie Govan's Creative Guitar 1&2. (they cover a lot more than most guitar books)
