I love playing guitar.

I've been really stressed out in my life lately, and today was the first time I've had my full rig back at the house since the band started back this past summer. Man, there is such a difference between playing a 2x12 and a 4x12 it's not even funny. The sound just fills the room and I don't have to have it cranked.

I've been sitting here for the past 2 hours just playing. Not only is my stress virtually gone, but I'm coming up with all kinds of new beautiful music at the same time. I seem to be busting out of a musical rut I've been in for the past two months, and it feels good.

So this is just a quick post to say I fucking love playing guitar and I think it's one of the most cathartic activities you can do.

Playing guitar is the ultimate stress reliever. I love it too especially after a stressful day. It relaxes me and music is my way of expressing myself. Im glad I was born to play guitar and mostly glad that I am a part of SS.ORG where I can chat with other fine guitarists!

I really enjoy playing angry, aggressive music, because I then get all the anger and aggression out of my system. Nothing like a half stack, because folk music surely ain't gonna help.

Yes, indeed, I love playing guitar. If I didn't, I wouldn't do it. I play however I'm feeling at the time. And have written some songs under different moods and remember those times with each song. Playing music helps relieve stress. Think about it, won't you?

Last night my buddy was trying to talk about serious band shit, like the name of it, what stylistic direction we were taking, etc. and I had my JS in my hands, after not playing it for awhile.

He sounded like CHarlie Brown's parents. Wa wa, wa wa wa. I didn't hear a word, because I was in a different world.

A world where money, stress, jobs, world problems, hatred, ridicule, racism, sexism and stupidity don't exist. Music.

My buddy laughed. "Earth calling. Can Jeff come home now?"

He understands. He did it 10 minutes later.
