There are players on this board better than COW, and I am sure they don't charge $100 for lessons.

Dave Uhrich is based in Chicago, and I'd much rather take lessons from him for less than what COW charges.

MAB is based here too, though I don't know if he's giving lessons or not. If he is, I'd be more inclined to listen to what he has to say about picking efficiency and technique.

I thought this was pretty lame when I read it too. I remember last fall Andols from Chimaira was going to give drum lessons for 30 and hour, which seems reasonable. But 100 to learn to pick fast? I keep losing more and more respect for Christian and Fear Factory. Two years ago I was in line to meet Fear Factory at Gigantour right when Dream Theater came on. I left to watch Dream Theater.

He might just be spending too much money on things he loves. Regardless of gear, he travels a lot, buys a LOT of big name clothes, has a big selection of modified cars and guitars, and is really tattooed. None of these things are cheap.

I guess I'd just like to know why he does this. I don't mind the guy, but it all seems way too dodgy to me.
