![]() | I'm going to throw a spray can in the fire. I have his first CD and I was excited to get his new one. After listening to the new one a bunch, I feel a bit shruggish about it. His playing is unique and he's extremely talented, but listen to almost every solo? Same kinda phrasing, same busy note flying all over the place. Ok... I understand that's his style, metal-bluegrassy stuff, but I'll have to say I'm disapointed. I didn't know he covered the Guns N' Roses tune, and when it first came on I shook my fist at my car radio. I'm probably one of the few who can't stand GNR, but c'mon??? Why that song? I guess I was just looking for more of a variety in his playing instead of hearing the sound of 100 bees f***ing at a ho-down. |
