I thought it's the same one, only sanded, because there's no Steinberger logo on the body... but then again, I'm a total Stein noob

Which model is it? The natural Steins look gorgeus...

Looks like he shaved the clear coat and logo off. By the looks of the trem it doesn't look like a Transtrem so I think he maybe left his old one at home or sold it maybe.

Edit: Maybe it is a Transtrem, in some scenes it looks gold and some it looks silver

I never heard of these trems, but some of this stuff sound amazing:

Actually it sounds silly with it because jason had to lock it into place after pulling up the whammy bar on that first chord. Iirc he didn't get a steinberger til after the recording of the album, hence why you don't hear the pause after the bend in the cd. Not that it matters much when you have more tracks to use hehe

This was going to be my main guitar because I was sick of floyd roses and going back and forth between playing Cynic and Carcass covers. The ability to drop to B on the spot was great but the strings were kinda flabby. Then it hit me.... DUH get a 7 string
