Another AIC moment for me....
As most know here, I playing in 2 bands.
1) Jar Of Flies - A Seattle-based Alice In Chains tribute band
2) The Smoking Lounge - A rock cover band consisting of 4/5ths of the guys in Jar Of Flies.

I met Layne Staley's mother, Nancy, less than a year ago & have since become good friends with her.

Well, something interesting happened last night. I was playing a Smoking Lounge gig when we got word that a certain "someone" had requested to hear some Alice In Chains. Turns out, that someone was SEAN KINNEY, drummer for ALICE IN CHAINS!

After the bar closed, we hung out with him for a while & he was just one super-cool dude. For me, being in Jar Of Flies has been a surreal experience in that I've met so many people associated with AIC. I guess we're doing something right.
