abyssalservant is a jewel in the rough
A New Level of Brutality

Does anyone on ss.org (at least anyone who's paying attention) listen/know anything about noise? Like, uh, harsh noise . . . Merzbow and Masonna and Acid Mothers Temple and what have you . . .
Those of you who know and/or listen, anyone ever tried to make any?
Hails.

Yeah, a few years back a friend and I recorded "Body Farm" under the name Speculum, which consited of a number of completely improvised (including the lyrics) pieces/songs using bass, guitar, drum machine, a few random pieces of electronic equipment and three or four distortion pedals - hopefully it'll see the light of day as mp3 or ogg files one day...

We were (at the time) taking quite a lot of inspiration from Whitehouse - brutal stuff, although sometimes I think they are... well, let's just say it's a fine line between art and artifice.

Well worth checking out, though.

I add a noise period, where i listened and made some noise music, not very appreciated by friends and neighbours

I like Merzbow. Some noisepunk/noisegrind too maybe?

Agoraphobic Nosebleed, White House. Not really the electronic noise but still noisy nonetheless.

holy fuck!

I once recorded a Whitehouse-style piece just to annoy my music teacher. Other than that it doesn't do a great deal for me.

I absolutely LOVE Merzbow, but like alot of other artists I consider pioneers, their stuff tends to be foundational, but that's about it. In other words its a great basis to build on, but IMO by itself it tends to be incomplete.

Another cool powernoize band I dig is Terrorfakt, but everytime I listen to it, I find myself wanting to put like, guitars over it.

In a perfect world, Terrorfakt would be the rhythm section for The Berserker, with a side of Merzbow almost like a cherry on top.

* Cancer likes Merzbow so much that Little Baby was the inspiration (and actually the intro) to a Chapelblaque song called "Gravity".
