III Sides To Every Story Appreciation Thread

I have always been a huge fan of Extreme and Nuno. IMO, their third album III Sides To Every Story not only is their best overall album, it is also one of the most UNDER-rated rock albums of all-time.

Not only did Nuno and the gang performed perfectly on the recording, and in terms of song writing, arrangement and concept are all top notch! Lyrically Gary and Nuno are able to touch on subjects such as politics, human-nature and even religion without sounding pretentious or too over the top.

Simply put, I think this is a brilliant rock album! Your thoughts?

Only Sissies Cry. Real Men Stand In The Rain and Listen to V-Rock!

A big big fucking AMEN to this thread!!! I love Extreme, and Nuno is highly influential to me. He's an awesome player, and this CD defined my high school years.
This CD and Saigon Kick's Lizard always makes me think of my Junior year in HS.

Very, very good musicianship. I also like the concept of "3 sides to every story".

+1 to all the other comments. I fucking love this album and have done so for years, so many different vibes on one cd. Rest In Peace is one of my usual warm-up tunes when I pick up my guitar.

What an incredible album, man. So many great songs, and so many great parts, solos and riffs. Cupid's Dead (lol@the rap, but I'd miss it if it was taken out), Politicalamity, Peacemaker Die (the mid-section is so awesome). And Everything Under The Sun is just gorgeous.

I used to own an N2 and learned everything on this album. I really liked Extreme up until WFTP, which is still a great album, but marked a bit too much of a change from what I loved about them.

And it's amazing just for Gary Cherone's English accent on Cupid's Dead:
Ey-extra! Ey-extra! Pay-pes 'e-ya'. Gitcha pay-pes e-ya'. Cupid's Dead!

You might as well be suckin' Wes Borland's no-talent dick if you play with any more than six strings on your fucking guitar.

I think this is my favorite Extreme album, and it always has been for some reason. It's just a great album and I miss it. I may have to listen to my copy soon here.

gary cherone is my alltime fav vocalist.lyrics are awesome he really knows how to write them. even his latest projects.in the short time extreme was together they did alot.great songwriting.tell ya the truth ,and i might get slammed for this ,but van halen could have been a great band if they could have toughed it out for a few albums with him on vocals.

I love this album, it's a shame a couple of the tracks are scratched on my cd and that it doesn't include a song from their tape (I forget the name)
