I just found out a band in Kentucky ripped 2 songs from a band in San Antonio. They were none too happy about it.

If it was me, I've be peeved, but I wouldn't be too upset, because the song is so crappy that it doesn't really matter. I'd worry more about the off chance of someone thinking I ripped him off. I understand it's more a matter of principle, though, and if it ever came down to it, I don't think it would be too difficult for ol' Bulby to prove that the riff is his.
Before I joined the band I'm in now, there was an old song on their Myspace that had a riff on it that appeared on an Unearth album (or maybe it was Chimaira... I forget 'cause I'm not a huge fan of either) nearly verbatim some time after they added them. I think there's a fair chance that it was coincidental, though, unlike here where it was blatantly and admittedly ripped off.

My friend that you look disconcerningly identical to would have no problem doing it. Also that's incredibly gay. People should should comment and be like "what the fuck you stole that." If people notice it and mention it, maybe he'll take it down coz he doesn't wanna look like a jerk, and it won't have anything to do with you since they may have just "happened" accross his page.

The Fast Ones is one of my favorite songs by Bulb and I honestly really couldn't hear a blatant copy of that one riff...
