Man....Peter is an awesome rhythm player..I really think Opeth will go downhill (but I hope not) without him. Fredrik is a solid player, but he plays more shred than death and melodic stuff I think.

It REALLY sucks to see Peter go, but he's taking the high road & letting the band carrying on without him dragging the band down. You gotta applaud the guy who knows his time is up & he'd rather not hurt the band. It's just graciously stepping aside. And as it was wisely said....

I dont really see it as a major loss. Mike is the true mastermind and his soloing kicks ass compared to Lindgren. Anyway, the thing that will probably make a big difference is the loss of Lopez as he is such an amazing drummer.
