Jauqo III-X: Low C# Theory

Just got this the mail, along with three other albums, from CDbaby.

It's an insane record...I really don't know how else to describe it! It's pretty dense and chaotic, but at the same time it grooves.

The subcontrabass sounds amazing, as do the other instruments.

Oh, and here's a bio I found of 9-string guitarist DaLawn Simpson...

Turns out it was one of the guys from Entombed who introduced him to lower tunings...wierd.

Jauqo, you should point him in the direction of these boards if you get the chance...I'm sure we'd all be interested to hear from him.

Thanks for that link DR, I'm very curious to hear more of his playing - especially his bass cab sound - I've been wondering about using bass cabs or ERG's for years.

Agreed! The neck on that thing looks great. Either it's really slender, or DaLawn's a really big guy...

Jauqo is awsome. Unfortunatly, I can't really hear his bass when Delawn is playing his guitar. Jauqo has told me Delawn also has a 13 string guitar going all the way down to F natural. With a 27" scale. Wonder how that works out.

I have a feeling Jauqo will pop up here soon.

Some aspects of where you think you are unable to hear me is really DaLawn playing close to my range but not in unison.
