From what I was told, he only rejoined because he was helping their other vocalist write English lyrics and when he quit the band just assumed that Worm would record and tour with him and put him in a position he couldn't really refuse. I don't really care anyway, haven't liked anything since Whisper Supremacy and Worm's weirdness was their main selling point live.

I'm not surprised. I WOULD be surprised if Cryptopsy managed to keep the same vocalist for more than 2 consecutive records. It seems that they're going in the opposite direction though and will now be changing their vocalist on each release.

Nah, his effort on "Once was not" was weak. I would LOVE DIsalvo to come back though! I fucking love his voice. "And then you'll beg" is one of my favorite albums!

I have to listen some more to whisper supremacy...

I like what I read, what with the clean/growler/screamer/keyboards...all of that.

Cryptopsy has always been a boundry pushing band to me. The last album really hurt the forward direction which they were moving. Worm sucked really bad vocally (lyrically is a differenty story though!), and the production was poop....and I'm not sure if blame resides with the producer or the band, but Flo was way too up front!

If Flo wants to do a solo drum record with him bashing over TV fuzz then he should do that and leave my Cryptopsy alone!

....but I think this sounds like a positively directed action for them....now just keep the momentum going!

good, Once was not would have been a lot better if 1) Lord Worm wasn't singing... and 2) if they knew how mix and produce an album

I never picked up the last album after listening to preview tracks, and never bothered to see them again live since Lord Worm rejoined.

Clean vocals and keyboards in Cryptopsy? Uh, I'll pass.
