What's the best concert that you have ever been to?

The best concert that I have ever been to was when I celebrated new years eve in 1999 in Detroit with Metallica,Kid Rock,Ted Nugent and Sevendust, all the bands were amazing but the two that stood out were Teddy and Metallica. That crazy bastard Ted came out on stage on a fucking buffalo lol, then near the end of his set he hung his guitar up above the crowd and shot it with a cross bow and it burst into flames. When Metallica came out the stage erupted with pyrotechnics, this was my very first time that I ever had seen Metallica they sounded amazing. After the 12:00 count down confetti and balloons and beach balls fell from the ceiling of the silverdome, then all the bands came out on stage and played a couple of songs together,at the end Kid rock and Lars jumped into the crowd, but Lars was very hesitant lol,it looked like he didn't want to do it.Hands down that was the best concert ever for me,I can't wait to see Fear Factory and Machine Head.

Nik will become famous soon enough
2 years ago, when Gigantour came to town. I went with a great friend of mine. I got to see Symphony X and Nevermore, and then just as the evening dawned and it became nice, cool, and shady, Dream Theater came on. Best concert ever

Which reminds me, I'm pissed at Daniel Gildenlow and his refusal to get fingerprinted to enter the U.S. If he wasn't so stubborn, Pain of Salvation would be opening for Dream Theater during their Systematic Chaos tour this summer, and that would easily be the greatest concert in existance. My two favorite bands in one night...

Either Necrophagist, Augury, or Nevermore.... those all take the cake for me! They were all at the same venue, and I was standing at relatively the same spot everytime too!

Dream Theater in Madison Wi. It was a small theater and I was pretty close. They played for almost 3 hours! It was awesome!

Thats a tough one...Possibly Deftones in March of this year, or Satriani in June of last year. Both were phenomenal and sounded top notch.

More words here is more words.

Dream Theater, without a doubt.

Volsung is a jewel in the rough
It would have to be a toss up between:

U2-The Popmart tour. Saw em' in 97' in Oakland, CA. My mother took me & it was my first concert. Oasis opened up the show. They were okay, but it was all about U2 for me. Since I was only 10, I couldn't see over alot of the people there. So my mother & her best friend told one of the employees at the stadium about my situation. They decided too move our seats closer to the stage. When the band finally came & they were walking to the stage, they were within arms reach. That show was so damn cool. I'd love to see them again in the future.

or

Gigantour 2005-My reason for going was to see Fear Factory, but every band there was fantastic. I've only been to a handfull of shows in my life, but until that show, I had yet to enjoy EVERY band at a festival. I got to meet FF during Life of Agony. They signed my FF tab book I broght with me. There nice guys. When I got to Burt, I pulled out a copy of his Ascension of the Watchers EP. His face lit up with a big smile. That whole day was just cool.

Arch Enemy, Mastodon, Killswitch, Rob Zombie, Shadows Fall, In Flames, and Iron Maiden at Ozzfest was my favorite I think...
