yeah I read that in Guitar World a long time ago. Personally I don't care what he thinks of 7 strings.

Betterlaidplans is a jewel in the rough
I always liked how excessively abrasive slipknots music is. I also like their last album a lot because even though its not as brutal as past efforts, the guitarists seemed to come unchained a little and actually solo. I imagine they got tired of being called talentless power chord junkies, i would

Slipknot is not so bad... I'm not a fan of their music.. but they have some good songs... and good musicians for sure...

word. Great video's Mick and Jimmy are pretty kick ass guitarists, not super great, but they are solid at what they do. They stepped it up heaps on subliminal verses. I really liked the interviews lol. I saw them a while back, micks is the best. Every line from him is "Fuck"

http://www.myspace.com/korbainmusic (i need friends coz i just created it) haha

I think these guys are better guitarists than a lot of people give them credit for.

Funnily enough I dug out a Mick Thompson lesson from Total Guitar in 2002 the other day. Scary, scary stuff that'll keep you working hard for quite a while.

Hate the earlier stuff with the rap in it, but I can honestly say that there are a couple of their songs that I really enjoy. They're getting better with all the guitar stuff and I respect that.

I like those interviews, too.

I really dig the acoustic/mellow stuff off of their latest album.

Don't tell me what I can't do.
