No Mercy festival Review
No Mercy is here in Munich today. The bands playing are: Behemoth, Napalm Death, Moonspell, Dew-sentenced and Root. This is gonna be a great evening and i'll be doing a review if you want it. Any other European guy who allready been to No Mercy or will be going to the following dates? |

So now for a review. I'm gonna go chronological to keep it simple. Definitely a great night lots of fun.
1. Root: Not sure what to think of them. They tried to be satanist but were really, really cheesy and kinda boring. The singer had kind of a weird voice and the music was kinda monotonous. Not my thing. 2. Dew-Sentenced: Nice modern sounding Thrash. Fast, powerfull and kickass. Not familiar with them but the songs were cool and they really made a great warm-up act for what was to follow. 3. Behemoth: Imo the best band of the evening. Those guys live are just like a tank rolling over you. Incredibly brutal and heavy. Inferno is a beast on the drums and i really love Nergal's vocals. They played a song from their upcoming album and if that's a good example for the new stuff it's gonna be even more heavy and atmospherical than Demigod. Halfway through the set they played a cover version of "I got Erection" by Turbonegro. I was laughing my ass off when Nergal made the announcement and the song in itself is already funny, especially when played in a death metal version. It was even more fun when the guys from dew-sentenced ran on stage, took over seth's mic and sang along the chorus. Nergal also made some seriously funny stage announcements and generally seems a lot nicer than he looks. In the end i got Nergal's pick and one of Inferno's drumsticks. Killer show. 4. Napalm Death: Need is say more? Pure in-your-face grindcore. Brutal,super-fast and insane. Bárrages of songs fired at you without breaks. Insane mosh-pit. Barney's announcements with his birmingham accent are really funny to hear compared to his vocals. 5. Moonspell: Never lsitende to those guys before, but i gotta say they are quite cool actually. Nice atmosphere and the screaming vocals are quite unique. I really liked some songs for their feel and melody. Just the clean vocals sounded kinda whiney at times. Great gig anyways |

Sounds like a good show. Can't go wrong with Behemoth.

Nothing like a good depressant to chase the blues away!
