![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | G3 Boston The show was at 7:30, so around 3:45, I headed out to Steve's: ![]() Headed down the road from my place: ![]() And made it to Steve's Estates: ![]() When I say "I'll be there at 4:30", I mean it. Sometimes. ![]() ![]() Pulled down the drive: ![]() Yay! Steve's house: ![]() Went inside, greeted the family, played some JEMs, and then we headed out after a quick beer: ![]() Off to Drew's we go: ![]() Drew's fucking phone didn't work, and I couldn't figure out Steve's PDA. So we did the safe thing, and had him post on the boards, while driving in traffic, at 80MPH: ![]() Then we hit some traffic. ![]() ![]() And saw some Boston area wildlife! ![]() Again, Bus 77! ![]() ![]() You can tell we made it to Drew's by the telltale geographical anomalies. ![]() Drew gets the 'bone for having a broken phone. ![]() Beers administered, we meet up with Keith and his girlfriend, and head out in search of sustenance to fuel our evening. ![]() And do a poor Beatles impersonation: ![]() Aah, what do we have here? ![]() We are Mexi-CAN's, folks, no Mexi-can'ts here! ![]() ![]() I needed a fork. So I went and grabbed one. ![]() I also needed some napkins, because this is messy business. I asked Keith to grab some. ![]() ![]() Steve's burrito: ![]() I finish up and have a smoke while the rest of the group downs the remainder of our feast: ![]() Then it's off to the Subway: ![]() Which looks like this: ![]() We needed passes for the train: ![]() So Steve hooked it up: ![]() Passes acquired, we headed down the giant esclator of doom. If you die and go to hell, I reckon it looks like this: ![]() Wahoo, the T! ![]() It hauls ass, but Drew is unmoved. The man fears nothing, not even a speeding train. Or pastels. ![]() We get on: ![]() And then off again, past this chick with a rather pronounced backside. ![]() Head through this turnstyle thing: ![]() Hooray, Boston! ![]() ![]() A short walk, and we're here. We meet kmanick for about 30 seconds. I forget to take a pic, so pretend there's a pic of him here. ![]() 7:30 showtime: ![]() We bid adieu to Keith since his seats aren't near ours: ![]() And take care of business: ![]() And head inside. Once at our seats, behold, it's Paul Gilbert. ![]() ![]() The view from our seats. The place is small so just about every seat is a pretty good one. ![]() ![]() Paul finishes up: ![]() So we do the natural thing, and go get more beers. ![]() And head back in just in time: ![]() To catch this fellow: ![]() Who opened with Jaws of Life. ![]() ![]() And administered some Petruccian shredly goodness upon our ears. ![]() Unfortunately, the sound guy had the treble on 11tybillion for his set, so about 2/3 of the way through his set we went back out here, in lieu of going deaf: ![]() And got more beers. ![]() ![]() Beers yet again administered, we head back inside. ![]() Drew is fired up. ![]() And Steve is angry! ![]() The lights go down! ![]() And out comes Satch! ![]() ![]() Who is later joined by one John Petrucci: ![]() Who does some serious shreddin': ![]() In the midst of which, out strolls Paul Gilbert. ![]() ![]() Who does some shredding of his own: ![]() ![]() ![]() They finish up: ![]() And Satch does some talking: ![]() To introduce Bruce Boullet: ![]() And Petrucci shreds some more. ![]() ![]() Before introducing: ![]() Johnny A, who I've never heard of and whose tone didn't really fit in. ![]() Satch comes back out. Hi Satch! (left side) ![]() And every Soudman's Nightmare begins. Look at all those guitarists. ![]() ![]() G3 = ![]() ![]() Show finishes up, we head back outside. Where I take a pic and some random dude notices me. ![]() ![]() We wait for Keith: ![]() Who comes out, and we head over to the most logical place we can go. ![]() The waitress takes our order: ![]() "Beers, please." ![]() ![]() Drew's cute friend from work was also at the show. Along with Bob. Or Bill. Or Bart. Or something like that. ![]() Beers administered yet again we head back:![]() To the subway, where some random dude who looks like Young Meatloaf is throwin' the horns around: ![]() Drew is not amused. Steve and Keith cancel that fag's horns and administer some of their own: ![]() Back on the train, we're pooped. ![]() Keith is focused, however. ![]() Is it Steve's new shirt? ![]() Or is he wondering if one of us is having a stroke? ![]() ![]() Since none of us are, we head back out the subway: ![]() Through the chilly night home. ![]() I get in my car back at Steve's around 2AM: ![]() And head home. ![]() FIN :: chrisquigley.com :: Sevenstring Registry :: Share Your Music :: Share Your Patches :: Sevenstring.org MySpace chmod +ax /bin/laden |
